Structuring the paper

When you have collected source material and gathered an overview of the topic you are to write about, the time has come to make an outline. A good outline makes the writing process flow more easily.

An outline means a structured list comprising the items you plan to deal with in the paper. The academic conventions for structuring academic texts are the framework you use for your outline.

You can read more about this in the section "Text structure".
