Background
I hold a PhD in Person-Centred Healthcare and a Master’s degree in Organization and Leadership. I serve as Head of Department and have a strong commitment to inclusive leadership, partnerships, and the development of strong academic communities. I am dedicated to building a culture and work environment characterized by trust, participation, and clear direction, where staff, students, and collaborators experience genuine involvement and shared responsibility for development.
I am deeply committed to advancing research and practice that promote person-centred and sustainable healthcare services. My work explores how person-centred perspectives can strengthen health and care services, with particular emphasis on technology, leadership, and collaboration. I research how healthcare professionals, patients, and family caregivers experience and navigate a healthcare system in transition, and how innovation and person-centred practice can contribute to improved quality and coordination of care.
With a broad clinical background from hospitals, home nursing services, and nursing homes, as well as leadership experience from municipal healthcare services, I have seen how effective leadership, cultural development, and strong partnerships are crucial for creating high-quality healthcare services and educational programmes. As a leader, researcher, and educator, I work to strengthen this approach and contribute to innovative solutions that promote quality, collaboration, work environment, and professional development in an increasingly digitalised healthcare sector.
Partners
I collaborate with the Person-Centred Practice International Community of Practice CIC (PCP-ICoP), a network focused on improving person-centred practices through evidence-based methods. Additionally, through my membership in the research group Person-centred practice and the digital society, my colleagues and I have partnered with the Development Center for Nursing Homes and Home Care Services in Østfold, as well as several municipalities and universities, both nationally and internationally, on various studies.
