The final year of the BlendVET project

2024 marks the third and final year of the BlendVET project. A new video has been launched by EEA and Norway Grants to showcase the project, as part of their #OurStories campaign.

The Norwegian participants started 2024 with a teacher training session at Åssiden vgs. on 2nd January. The first half of the day started with a presentation of the project to the entire teaching staff of the upper secondary school. Our approach was framing the question: What is Flipped Classroom? And how can vocational teachers use it in their teaching?

The teachers were asked to discuss questions like:

  • What kind of knowledge and skills do vocational students need to learn in order to be successful in future working life?
  • How can an approach like Flipped Classroom facilitate some of these skills?
  • What needs to be in place to help teachers experiment with a Flipped Classroom methodology?

The second half of the day was designated to a workshop for the teachers at Åssiden who are active BlendVET-participants. They shared their experiences of developing blended learning designs for their vocational students.
