About the programme

The digital society is here and affects all professions. Data is gathered about customers, production processes, energy consumption, traffic flows and weather trends; the amount of data is almost unlimited. To gain insight using large amounts of data, new skills are needed in most businesses. This insight is essential to be competitive in the digital community. Both knowledge and practical experience with data analysis are crucial.

At the Faculty of Computer Sciences at Østfold University College, you find highly competent researchers and lecturers with machine learning and data analysis as their focus area. In this study, you have a unique opportunity to be/get acquainted with different tools for data analysis, their applications and practical use. You also have the opportunity to bring back concrete and directly applicable knowledge, insight and prediction based on your own data from your own business.

Do not miss the opportunity to learn about analysis of large amounts of data, together with other participants from all over the country and from different business areas, with solid instruction and guidance from some of Norway's sharpest heads.

The language of instruction is English and the teaching alternates between lectures, supervision, project work and individual study work. The study program runs over one semester with four 2-days sessions during daytime, a total of 8 days. That means you can combine work and study.
