Useful parking information - Fredrikstad campus

The University College of Østfold has various parking areas associated with the Fredrikstad campus. See what applies to you.

For Guests and Visitors

The University does not have dedicated parking for guests/lecturers or visitors. Guests are directed to paid parking at the parking garage at Fredrikstad Stadium - follow the signs.

Employees at Østfold University, Halden campus, should also park at Odden (with EasyPark).

NOTE! Parking signs are set up at Odden, and at other university parking lots with current parking regulations. Parking regulations apply 24 hours every day.

For Students

Free parking at P2 - student parking at Odden for students. This requires you to have downloaded EasyPark and updated the app with the correct tariff group and information.

Read how to update the EasyPark app.

Start using the app immediately if you plan to park. Controls will be in place at Odden starting from Friday, January 12th, so you must have everything done by then to receive free parking. From that date, you will be fined if approved parking is missing.

As a student, you can ONLY park at P2. Remember to change the car in the EasyPark app if you have multiple vehicles. If you park elsewhere or with the wrong car, you will receive a fine.

If you do not have a smartphone or cannot download the EasyPark app, you must choose other parking methods to ensure legal parking. You are responsible for parking legally, and you will be fined if you do not comply with parking regulations. Neither HiØ nor Værste can refund this fee.
