ØAI meeting: grant application: responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (Nordforsk)

HiØ has been invited by Arcada University of Applied Sciences to participate in the Call for Proposals on Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence from NordForsk. https://www.nordforsk.org/news/pre-announcement-call-proposals-responsible-use-artificial-intelligence

Please join us for a proposal discussion !

NordForsk is announcing funding for research on the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in February 2025. The goal is to finance at least 11 research projects that address common Nordic and Nordic-Baltic societal challenges related to the extensive use and implementation of AI in the region. These challenges include, among others, aging populations, structural changes in the labor market, societal and political polarization, healthcare systems, education, skills development and lifelong learning, as well as the green transition of the economy.

The initiative seeks to explore the use, development, and implementation of AI at the individual, organizational, and societal levels to facilitate responsible and critical future approaches. Projects that focus solely on the technological development of AI are not included, while projects that aim to optimize existing AI methods or algorithms towards responsible use and functionality are included.

The call is a collaboration between several Nordic and Baltic research councils and innovation funds, including the Research Council.

Arcada is part of the Z-Inspection initiative and has a Trustworthy AI Lab with research projects such as DeployAI – Development and Deployment of the European AI-on-demand Platform, MANOLO: Trustworthy Efficient AI for Cloud-Edge Computing, and Applied Ethical AI on Nordic Patient Records: Link to Arcada's Trustworthy AI Lab

Frode Ramstad Johansen invites ØAI to join a proposal discussion regarding this initiative.

Bring your lunch and we will meet from 11:30 to catch up.
