CHANGE aims to develop and improve methods and ways of interacting to strengthen children and young people's experience of being part of a community and having a good quality of life. CHANGE also seeks to enhance professionals' competence in understanding each other's perspectives and collaboratively developing good practices to include as many children and young people as possible.

Examples of issues CHANGE works with:

  • How can conversations and interactions between children and young people, their families, and professionals be strengthened to provide better learning, a sense of participation, and improved quality of life?
  • How can methods of communication between professions be further developed to strengthen work on including children, young people, and their families?
  • How can children and young people be engaged as active participants and co-creators in knowledge development to enhance their inclusion?
  • How can digital media be used to address the everyday lives of children, young people, and their families, and how can professionals make use of digital tools in their interactions with children and young people?

CHANGE will contribute knowledge about conversations and interactions between children, young people, their families, and professionals with the aim of strengthening the inclusion of children and young people in school, work, leisure, and family life. By focusing on productive communication and collaboration between different professions and services, the initiative will contribute to a holistic and coordinated support to enhance the inclusion of children and young people. The results will improve professionals' communication skills, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensure that children's voices are heard and included in decision-making processes.
