Summary: This is the story about someone who writes a letter to the Zoo to ask for a pet. The Zoo keeps sending all kinds of animals: an elephant, a giraffe, a lion, a camel etc. But, sadly, they are all returned to the Zoo, because one is too big, another one too grumpy or fierce. Finally, the Zoo sends a puppy: “He was perfect! I kept him.” This is a lift-the-flap book, which will awaken young learners’ curiosity about what animals are hiding behind the flaps. Take care to get hold of a big edition.

Suitable for students in years: 1-2
