Summary: Goldilock uses her mobile phone to share pictures and videos from her family: a talking dog called Rover, uncle Richard falling over. Her posts get a lot of likes, but soon her followers are bored. Then she walks into the wood and finds an empty cottage; she takes a selfie and breaks in. She grabs the smallest bowl of porridge and eats the lot; then she goes to sleep in the smallest bed. And, she makes sure to video and post all the damage that she has done. It all ends in tears and community service; all summer she has to go to the cottage to sweep the floors, mend the chair and do chores. All this is due to her postings online: “Still it’s everyone’s belief that she is a horrid porridge thief. Yet even when they set her free, her posts lived on for all to see.”

Suitable for students in years: 3-7
