Summary: This book tells a traditional folk tale from Russia in an amusing way. An old woman and an old man live in an old crooked house. In the spring, they sow different vegetables. In the autumn, they are ready to harvest their vegetables. To their surprise, they see that a turnip has become gigantic, and the two of them are not able to pull it up. Gradually, they fetch more and more of the animals on the farm to help, but the turnip does not move. Finally, a little mouse makes the difference, and the gigantic turnip comes flying out of the ground.
