Summary: This book tells the story of a Dalmatian dog called Dot and her owner, Rose. Dot is not an ordinary dog; she is a hospital dog. Rose and Dot go regularly to the hospital to visit the children’s ward, and they are always warmly welcomed. Dot cheers everyone up: Baby Katy who is hot and covered in spots, Bea who is feeling nervous because it is her first day, Gus who is bored with a leg in plaster. A pat, a stroke and a cuddle with Dot makes the difference. On their way home, Dot experiences an accident when she saves a boy from being run over by a car. Now, it is her turn to have her leg in plaster, and she feels very bored. Suddenly, there are some visitors at the door to cheer her up.
