Summary: This book tells the story of a girl who sees that other students get picked on, are called names and sit alone on the bus. She does not do mean things herself, but she does not stand up for those who are being bullied. She is just a silent by-stander. But, one day, when she is sitting alone in the canteen, some students come up to her table and start telling jokes about her. She sees that the students in the canteen feel sorry for her, but they do not say anything. This makes her mad at the students in the canteen. She realizes that she has been one of the silent by-standers herself. The next day, she sits down next to the girl on the bus who always sits alone.
