Summary: This book tells the story of Asiya and her little sister Faizah. It is Faizah’s first day at school and for Asiya, it is the first-day hijab. In the hijab shop, Asiya chose a hijab made of the brightest blue fabric. Their mother says that “The first day of wearing hijab is important. It means being strong.” But, not everyone thinks Asiya’s hijab is beautiful; some boys are pointing and yelling at her. But Asiya stays strong and waits for her little sister outside school just like it’s a normal day.
