Summary: This book tells the story of a kind giant who wants to make friends with everybody. But, since he is so big, he gets in a way wherever he shows up; when he walks, his big feet knock down trees and farm walls. The village people ask the druid to put him to sleep. So he does by serving the giant a stew containing herbs that put him to sleep. The giant walks out into the sea and falls asleep. Grass grows over him making the giant look like an island, and people forget that he is a sleeping giant. But, one day, the giant wakes up, and what happens then?
