Connections to the Curriculum in English: This picture book invites the reader to talk about different styles of art, but still relating these to ourselves and the importance of diversity in society. Besides, this book will help learners to express themselves more accurately and with more nuances to communicate on different topics.

Summary: This picture book celebrates diversity and differences: “Think how dull the world would be if we were all the same.” It is ok to be different, in fact it is perfect to be different. This book is told from the perspective of different works of art including various styles of painting, collage and sculpture. Hence, it can be used as a starting point to talk about different styles of art such as Egyptian art, Greek art, Cubism etc. On the last pages of the book, the reader can find a brief introduction to the different styles of art.
