Summary: This book tells the story of the Pakistani girl Malala and her wish for a magic pencil to change the world to become a better place. When she grows older, she wishes for bigger and bigger things. Although Malala never finds a magic pencil, she experiences that she could make her voice be heard for a better world by writing and talking about her own life and the injustice she experiences in the society where she lives, like girls not being allowed to go to school. She says that “The magic is in you, in your words, in your voice.”
