Summary: This book tells the legend of The Snow Leopard who protects the hidden valley safe from the world by weaving words of protection and singing songs. As time passes, the snow Leopard needs to find a new singer who would come after her. Down in the valley, there is a child sleeping who hears the leopard’s singing. The Snow Leopard fetches the little girl and teaches her all about nature and the moods of the valley. The day comes when the Snow Leopard licks the girl’s face and the child becomes a leopard and begins a new song. The book has beautiful illustrations of the landscapes of the Himalayas and is published in a large format.
