12:00 - Walk together to the opening ceremony from the Fredrikstad campus 🚶♀️➡️🚶♂️➡️
If you would like to walk to Blå Grotte with others, there will be a group departure at 12:00 from two locations: the student parking area at the start of the underpass and outside the campus main entrance. Look for hosts wearing yellow vests.
12:30 - 13:15 - Opening ceremony at the Blå Grotte cultural centre in Fredrikstad🎉🎵
The opening ceremony takes place in a fantastic venue right in the city centre. From the stage, you will be welcomed to the university, the city, and student life here with us. The Rector, the student union leader, the head of the orientation programme, and the city’s Deputy Mayor will take the stage to address you and your fellow students. There will also be musical entertainment.
13:15 - 13:30 - Walk back to campus 🚶🚶♂️
It is a nice, short walk of about 15 minutes back to campus. It gives you the chance to get to know both the city and your fellow students a little better.
13:30 - 14:00 - Refreshments 🍴
We’ll provide a quick energy boost and serve a simple lunch for all new students. Gluten-free, vegan, and lactose-free options are available.
