Event program:
Please note that most of the program will be held in Norwegian.
9:00 - 9:30 - Walk from Campus Halden to Byparken 🚶♀️➡️🚶♂️➡️
The Byparken venue is just a short walk from Campus Remmen (approx. 30 minutes) and only a few steps from Halden train station. A group walk is being organized, with the meeting point outside the main entrance at Campus Remmen at 09:15. Look for hosts wearing yellow vests.
For those not walking directly to Byparken, buses will be available outside the campus main entrance. The first bus leaves at 09:30, and the last departure is at 09:45. We recommend arriving in good time, as seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
10:00 - 10:45 - Opening ceremony at Byparken in Halden🎉🎵
The opening ceremony takes place at a great venue right next to the Halden train station. From the stage, you will be welcomed to the university, the city, and student life here. The Rector, the student leader, and the Mayor will take the stage to address you and your fellow students. There will also be musical entertainment.
10:45 - 11:15 - Walk back to campus
A pleasant walk back to campus has been arranged for those interested. This is a great opportunity to get to know both the city and your fellow students better. Alternatively, buses run from the stop right outside Byparken.
Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony 🍴
