This is not mandatory for all the employees, but as the working language at the University College is Norwegian, this would be beneficial to quickly integrate into the Norwegian society.
Norwegian course for beginners
Norwegian course for foreign employees at Høgskolen i Østfold.
The course is a cooperation between Folkeuniversitetet Øst and Høgskolen i Østfold, and consist of 80 lessons * 45 minutes. The aim is to reach an A2-level in Norwegian during the course.

Fee: The course and literature are free of charge for the participants
One-to-one training
As a non-Norwegian speaking employee, you are entitled to enroll in a Norwegian course for beginners or be given up to 30 hours of one-to-one training.
Employees with requirement of Norwegian language skills at level B2 will be given an individual scheme.
