Microdata.no

Microdata.no is a web-based research service that provides access to Norwegian register data on, among other things, population, education, income, and the labor market. The data are used and analyzed in a secure and anonymized system, where privacy is safeguarded through a closed interface. Access is administered by Østfold University of Applied Sciences, and you must create a user account to use the service.

What can Microdata.no be used for?

The service can be used to examine relationships in society using Norwegian register data. It is particularly suitable for statistical analyses, planning research projects, and exploring data prior to a possible application for access to more detailed datasets.

Limitations and important considerations

The data in Microdata.no cannot be downloaded or linked to your own datasets. Analysis must be carried out within the closed system, and results are checked before they can be exported in order to safeguard privacy.
