Event: Honest talk about mental health

In the survey “Helt Ærlig” which was sent out to students during the pandemic this spring, the response from participants from Østfold University College shows that 48% of the students miss being with others, 29% of the students feel left out, 44% of the students feel isolated from others and 52% of the students say that they have chronic sleep problems.

And a total of 48% of the students say that they have serious psychological issues.

Does any of this sound familiar to you? How do you deal with difficult feelings? Why do more women than men ask for help? How can we help ourselves and others?

Maybe it would help to air your thoughts in a safe environment? Then you have the opportunity now!

Psychologist Aksel Sinding

Psychologist Aksel Sinding.

Meet psychologist Aksel Inge Sinding and our own students Magnus Andersen Eeg og Kristin Annabella Kristiansen for a discussion about these and other topics related to mental health and student life. You are also invited to ask questions and share your thoughts and feeling anonymously both before and during the event. It’ll be exciting, fun and useful!

After the event, Halden Student Society will be arranging a Quiz for those wanting to socialize in the evening.

The event does not require that you sign-up, and it is open and free of charge for all of Østfold University college’s students to attend.
