- My name is Arthur, I'm 21 years old and I'm from France. I'm a business student.
Why did you choose to apply for student housing at Remmen?
- I chose to stay during my year abroad in student accommodation in Remmen to meet new people of different nationalities and share activities and experiences with them.
What benefits do you experience from living close to campus?
- Living close to the campus allows me to meet people and go to the university more easily and to use all the campus premises, which allows me to participate in all the activities (sports, games...) offered by the student groups or SIO.
What do you appreciate most about living in student housing?
- What I particularly like about living in a student house is that I can organise many activities and speak several languages with my roommates.
How does living with other students affects your everyday study?
- Living with other students really makes student life easier because it allows us to meet and communicate more quickly. In addition, we can do group work using the university or Remmen premises. This is a daily comfort in the life of a student which is not negligible.

What do you want to highlight as positive about the student housing on Remmen?
- All the flats and common areas are well maintained or new, the furniture and accessories are of very good quality, there is all the comfort necessary for a student.
Do you have any tips and advice for others who are considering applying for student housing?
- If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to live in a flat with other international students, don't ask to be with peoples we have the same mother tongue.
What do you like best about Halden city?
- What I like about Halden is the proximity between city life and country life, there is a beautiful city centre with a nice harbour, and forest all overlooked by a fortress. The environment is exotic and Halden city is very pretty.
