  This paper aims at bringing together theories/understandings of parenting and theories of care, as two partly overlapping but also distinct phenomena, and separate theoretical fields. In this paper we will explore and disentangle the overlaps as well as differences in theories and theorizing of parenting and care with the aim of exploring the possibilities, potential benefits – and limitations – of employing theories of care to parenting and vice versa.
