The project aims to strengthen collaborative learning between the field of practice and the nursing education programme at Østfold University of Applied Sciences through the development and testing of two new models for practice-oriented bachelor’s theses. The objective is to enable students to contribute to empirical studies and developmental work in close collaboration with practice partners, while ensuring that the models can be sustained beyond the project period.

Through six work packages, the project group will develop and implement alternative bachelor’s thesis formats based on real-world challenges identified by the field of practice. Experiences and reflections from students and staff involved in the project will also form the basis of a scholarly article.

The project has significant practical and transferable value, as practice partners will be able to propose relevant challenges and research questions for students to address in collaboration with professional and academic communities at the university college.

Through this project, we aim to expand the interdisciplinary community at the university, further strengthen the focus on innovation, and implement findings in faculty programs and courses.
