Interreg FREIIA at Ouessant France

What a week in Bretagne, France! Researchers from the Interreg FREIIA project worked with cross-disciplinary teams of students from Inovation and project management, Østfold University College and Administration and International Exchange - Green Business, Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC). Together with local stakeholders on Ouessant we explored island development as part of INTERREG FREIIA WP4 - NORWAY.

We conducted over 30 interviews with stakeholders, mapping the challenges faced by the islanders and experimenting with possible improvements during our Design Thinking workshop at the Sport Ouessant &Spa. The generosity, empathy, insightful discussions, and innovative ideas shared by the locals and students were truly inspiring.

A huge thanks to our Interreg FREIIA project leaders Jenny Louise Helt, Sofie Guldberg Gretland, and Patrick Gabrielsen, as well as IPL23 students Thai and Grim for leading the compact Design thinking workshop, and our own students from the classes IPL23 and IPL24.

Special thanks to Noah and Azza from UPEC, France for taking on the challenge and contributing their skills and knowledge to the project and working together with us. It was a pleasure to work with you in this cross-disciplinary, project-based event on higher education possible.
