This project is carried out in collaboration with TotalCtrl and focuses on developing a system for product recall handling and improved purchasing planning in nursing homes. The system uses historical consumption, waste and expiration data from nursing homes integrated with TotalCtrl’s systems to create purchasing suggestions based on demand patterns and trends. In addition, it supports product recall tracking and handling. The aim is to reduce food waste and optimize purchasing decisions through forecasting techniques, as well as to ensure safer inventory management.
The system is intended to:
- Analyze historical sales, waste, and expiration data
- Generate forecasts to support purchasing decisions
- Include functionality for product recall tracking
- Combine backend analytics with a user-facing interface
