Academic interests
My work in Early Childhood Education and Care centers on pedagogy as its core component. This encompasses educational conditions for kindergarten teachers along with opportunities for mentoring, creating learning communities, and engaging in development work within kindergartens. I am deeply engaged in the dynamic environment of kindergartens, where children's contributions significantly influence both teaching and research. Over the years, a profound interest in the youngest children in kindergarten has evolved, enhancing my appreciation for the diversity and vitality within these settings. My efforts strive to bridge the connections between pedagogy and aesthetics, with an emphasis on embodiment, life, breath, affect, and interactions. In both research and teaching, my focus is on kindergarten pedagogy, mentoring, and higher education.
My teaching expertise spans a range of educational programs and subjects, grounded in extensive practice within kindergartens and higher education sectors. I possess considerable experience at the bachelor's level, professional development, and master's level. Additionally, I engage as a guest lecturer, delivering presentations across various faculties, departments, and institutions both nationally and internationally, addressing students, academic circles, and early childhood settings.
In addition to a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Teacher Education, I hold a master's degree in kindergarten pedagogy and a Ph.D. in educational sciences.
