About the Department
The Department of Languages, Literature and Culture (SLIK) is one of three departments at the Faculty of Teacher Education and Languages. The department has 55 employees in the subject areas Norwegian, English, German, French and Spanish. The department is responsible for delivering language education, competence and research to the faculty's department-wide teacher educations for kindergarten and school and studies within languages. The department houses the university college's priority area Language in Education and is working to establish a center for outstanding education in language. The department's employees are strongly involved in teaching, research and dissemination.
