- As Head of Studies at the Department of Languages, Literature and Culture, I am responsible for the planning and implementation of the foreign language study programs. This involves cooperation with the subject managers, evaluation and quality assurance of the study portfolio at program level.
- I have personnel manager responsibilities for the employees at the department

As Head of Studies, I contribute to developing a positive working environment, prepare individual work plans, and distribute tasks in close collaboration with the head of department, vice-deans and subject field coordinators. As part of the department’s management, it is my partial responsibility to ensure that the department’s academic activities are in line with agreed frameworks for the study portfolio, budget and current quality system.
Background
My academic background is history and Russian studies. I have a Ph.D. in humanities and social sciences from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. In my dissertation, which is a comparative historiography, I investigated the research traditions in local and regional history in northern Norway and northern Russia in the period 1970–2015. My academic expertise is such as Norwegian-Russian relations, Norway and Russia in the northern regions and historiography.
Before I started in my current position at HiØ, in February 2023, I worked three years as a research coordinator at the Faculty of Health Sciences at UiT, where I predominantly worked with externally funded collaborative projects within applied research in mental health for children and young people, and families with a refugee background.
