New to the library?

The library is on the ground floor at campus Halden, and in building H at campus Fredrikstad. At the campus libraries you can sit alone or in groups, find books, get help, join events, play chess and board games, and much more.

The campus libraries are open Monday to Thursday 8-19 and Friday 8-18

Note: During holidays, there may be different opening hours.

We have a limited number of all textbooks. We also have day loan copies of all textbooks - these must be returned the same day.

If you are looking for books/articles that are not on any reading lists, you can search for them in the library's search tool Oria. Here you can see if and where the book is available.

Use your student card or student ID app as a library card at our self check-out machines. You can borrow and return books at both campus libraries.

• Ordinary loan time: 4 weeks
• Reading list books: 2 weeks
• One day loan: Returneres samme dag

All loans are automatically renewed as long as there is no one on the waiting list. To check the due date of your loans, you can log in to Oria with Feide and go to your account in the top right corner. Read our loan rules.

You can return books at the self-checkout machines in both of our libraries. You can also return them to the drop-off box outside the main entrance on both campuses 24/7.
