About CHANGE

CHANGE focuses its efforts on three main themes – Conversations and Interaction, Public Health and Life Skills, and Coordination and Service Development. The themes are partly overlapping and will inform each other.

CHANGE utilizes a variety of methodological approaches. We involve children, young people, and their families in active participation in research processes to ensure that their perspectives and experiences are taken into account in knowledge development. We also invite various professionals and service providers to participate in research projects and provide input on issues derived from practical fields.

CHANGE employs different qualitative and quantitative data collection methods such as interviews, focus groups, observations, documents, digital ethnography, and surveys. We also use Q-methodology to study the views of children, young people, their families, and professionals on various topics relevant to the inclusion of children and young people.

SimFredrikstad is the university college's own simulation center and is central to the work of enhancing professionals' competencies in conversations and interactions with children, young people, and their families in various contexts.

CHANGE has its own working- og management group.
