The Public Health Program in Østfold: A follow-up and process evaluation of the Work in the municipalities and the county's role as project leader

The Public Health Program in Municipalities is a 10-year initiative (2017-2027) aimed at strengthening municipalities' work to promote the population's mental health and quality of life, as well as enhancing municipalities' competence in developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based measures. Children and youth, mental health, and substance abuse prevention are central themes. The follow-up and process evaluation seeks to shed light on various research questions related to key elements of the public health program, including evidence-based intervention development, collaboration between actors, competence support, and knowledge dissemination. "Gatesosionomen" in the self-service society

"Gatesosionomen" in the self-service society seeks to understand the consequences of a digitalized public administration where citizens are increasingly held responsible for managing their own cases. The project explores experiences related to not being able to master the use of self-service solutions, and thus not being able to take responsibility for one's own welfare. More specifically, we aim to gain insight into the experiences of people who use the Church City Mission's newly established initiative 'Gatesosionomen', which has been developed in collaboration with HiØ.

Team Fortene

The Team Fortene are located at Høytorp Fort (Mysen) and provide a training program for young people aged 14-23. The research work at HiØ will document the guidance provided to the staff in developing the training program, as well as the students' learning and competence development.

The research is conducted through observation, document analysis, and interviews with the students, staff, and other participants in the project. This will provide insight into the students' learning, Team Fortene's facilitation, and the management of the students' learning activities. HiØ is connected to the project through Dekomp funding.
