Research
My PhD project looks at how foundation models for metagenomic and microbiome data might be combined with clinical information to better understand gastrointestinal health. The current focus is ulcerative colitis, and whether bringing these data sources together can help predict different disease phenotypes. The project is at an early stage, and I am currently exploring different models and approaches.
