Strengthening sustainable entrepreneurship: WP4.2 Training module series

Work Package 4 (WP4) of the FREIIA project aims to empower student-driven sustainable entrepreneurship across European island communities. Through fieldwork, interviews, co-creation workshops, and AI-supported qualitative analysis, students collaborate with local stakeholders to identify challenges, explore opportunities, and co-develop solutions that contribute to sustainability transitions.

The WP4.2 Training Module series translates these insights into a structured learning framework. It combines theory, practical fieldwork, qualitative methods, AI-based insight development, and design thinking to foster innovation capacity and sustainable development in small and isolated communities.

Explore the five reports that form the backbone of this training module:

1. Conceptual Foundations

Introduces the theoretical and practical principles of sustainable and circular entrepreneurship, and positions islands as learning arenas and living labs.

2. Methodology and Learning Design

Details the pedagogical approach, including Input → Process → Output structure, and integration of design thinking and AI-supported analysis.

3. Fieldwork and Co-Creation Practices

Shares insights from stakeholder engagement, workshops, and collaborative solution development across FREIIA islands.

4. AI-Supported Qualitative Analysis

Explains how AI tools enhance data interpretation and insight generation within sustainability-focused entrepreneurship education.

5. Governance and Integration

Clarifies how the training module connects with FREIIA’s governance model and supports cross-work package collaboration.
