  • To raise awareness of green energy transition and to promote the cooperation between Norway and Romania in the aim of renewable energy, circular economy, energy efficiency, transportation, digitalization and decarbonization.
  • To develop new courses for an existing study plan of the Master Programme in Green Energy Technology at HIOF and to create a bridge for future mobility agreements between both universities for training and teaching activities.
  • To train and build competences for and to transfer knowledge and technology to local companies (from Norway and Romania) and decision makers.
  • To ensure both sustainability and flexibility by increasing knowledge & competences on renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, circular economy using effective solutions based on AI algorithms for students and young researchers.
  • To create synergy with other EEA and Norway projects, and to share and transfer knowledge based on our previous experience to local industrial partners, and other stakeholders.

Bilateral Cooperation

Goal

The project goals involve a series of eligible activities that are essential for strengthening bilateral relations and increasing cooperation between Østfold University in Norway and University Politehnica Timisoara in Romania, with a special focus on the green transition. The first set of activities includes a kick-off meeting held in Norway, which will create both formal and informal frameworks for participants to get to know each other, discuss project objectives, and establish roles and responsibilities. This type of meeting is crucial for building a solid foundation of mutual trust and understanding between partners.

Additionally, the planned workshops and training sessions will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices between faculty members, researchers, and industry representatives from both countries. Through case study presentations and visits to Norwegian companies that work with renewable energy, energy storage systems and energy efficiency, participants will better understand the challenges and solutions in the green transition field. These activities are essential for encouraging intercultural dialogue and stimulating long-term collaboration.
