About the project
The main idea of the project was to start and implement a training and awareness programme addressed to several levels of people involved, starting with the top decision makers, local public authorities, together with the regional representative universities, executive employees from the same entities and general public from the local communities involved.
During the project we contributed significantly to enhancing the competencies of top decision makers, technical and administrative staff from local public authorities and for the large public related to both energy efficiency and renewable energy sources topics, which can be integrated and replicated at the buildings and local community levels as clean, sustainable and reliable future solutions towards green energy transition. We performed and organized a series of eligible activities that are essential for strengthening bilateral relations and increasing cooperation among partners, but also crucial for building a solid foundation of mutual trust and understanding between partners.
The workshops and training sessions we organized have facilitated the exchange of knowledge and best practices between partner members, managers, decision makers, but also technicians and engineers, as well as industry representatives from both countries. Through case study presentations and visits to Norwegian companies that work with renewable energy and energy efficiency in green buildings principles, participants had the opportunity to better understand the challenges and solutions in the green transition field. These activities are essential for encouraging intercultural dialogue, stimulating long-term collaborations. Furthermore, the summer intensive courses with students and professors from Romania and the training sessions with top management professionals and technical members from administration were designed to promote a deep understanding of cost-effective solutions-based renewables and energy efficiency in green transition. The main subjects covered by the training sessions and summer school were how to initiate and build nearly zero energy buildings – nZEB, how to perform a deep renovation of a household or a public or private building, how to adopt energy efficiency measures towards green deal, how to develop cost-effective solutions based on energy monitoring and control systems, behavioral change and energy contracting, how to install and integrate renewable energy sources at local level, how to become a prosumer, etc.
