Tasks performed

• Strengthen and develop the Faculty's research profile and research portfolio
• Develop and ensure the implementation of the faculty's research strategy, e.g. by following up activity plans and research projects
• Be a driving force for long-term competence development to secure that the Faculty always has relevant and future-oriented academic competence
• HR responsibility for the Faculty's PhD students 
• Lead and run the Faculty's research committee and represent the Faculty in the central research committee
• Assist the Dean in relevant cases to prepare for the Faculty Board
• Assist the departments in allocating research time to employees
• Encourage and strengthen academic collaboration across departments and Faculties and with external actors.
• Ensure compliance with laws, rules, routines and systems that researchers need to relate to through quality work in research.
