Background

Magnus Nohr has been teaching and researching at the Østfold University College since 1996.

He is the academic administrator and teaches within two MOOCs. The MOOCs (Introduction to ICT – ICTMOOC and Educational Use of ICT – ICTPEDMOOC) have, since they started in 2014, had the lowest dropout rate and highest number of ECTS production compared to other MOOC studies in Norway. Magnus is dyslectic and has used many of the technical solutions that he presents to succeed as a student and teacher. He is a popular teacher on Youtube and his Norwegian videos about teaching with ICT have several hundred thousand views: https://www.youtube.com/magnusnohr.

Magnus Nohr is a role model when it comes to sharing educational resources online. Here you can find the open versions of the MOOCs he is administrating (in Norwegian).

Magnus holds a master's degree in ICT-supported learning from Oslo and Akershus University College from 2014. The master's thesis is about video-based teaching in MOOC and Filipped Classroom and is entitled (english translation): How do students experience the teacher's own produced video as a learning resource? The master's thesis has so far been downloaded over 5000 times. You find the master's thesis her (in norwegian): http://bit.ly/M2MMaster
