Background
Marianne’s initial education is as a primary/lower-secondary teacher. She has worked with the educational use of ICT since 1997. She currently works at the Østfold University College.
Specialisations: Pedagogy, learning design, AI literacy, Media literacy, Digital Competence, ICT for Teachers, Media Design, Arts and Crafts and Informatics, iPad methodology, Project management, and supervisor, Classical grounded theory, Using and producing films/podcasts for pedagogical use.
Master in Educational use of ICT (2007). The Master's thesis was about young people's skills and strategies for finding unknown computer programs - and examined young people's approach to 3D drawing.
PhD in pedagogy (2023). Her thesis contributes knowledge about a small, specialized group of children and youth, those who program (code), and their learning and identity challenges. The thesis places itself within the field of how children and youth use digital technology, and the situated perspective of learning forms the theoretical background.
Supervising schools and kindergartens in portfolio methodology, using AI as a teacher, and generative AI as a copilot for learning, and use of ICT in schools, online rights, privacy, and copyright / intellectual property law.
Public administration, assignments I have been involved in consultation on the framework plan for teacher education and kindergarten education and frameworks for Teachers' Professional Digital Competence.
