Academic interests
My research interests lie broadly in international history since 1945, with a particular focus on the Middle East and U.S. foreign policy. My research has examined, among other topics, relations between the United States, Iran, and Israel during the Cold War, as well as UN efforts to promote peace in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Courses taught
I currently teach social studies across the Teacher Education programmes for Primary and Lower Secondary School, Years 1–7 and 5–10, at Østfold University of Applied Sciences (OUAS), as well as social studies in the Early Childhood Teacher Education programme. Previously, I taught a range of courses at the University of Oslo, including modern Middle Eastern history, historical methods, the history of consumption, and international studies. I have also given guest lectures on modern Middle Eastern history for master's students at Volda University College.
