Book presentation: "Katja`s World Game: The Game begins"

The library is happy to invite you to another book presentation. This time it`s professor in English literature Jane Ekstam who is coming to present the first novel in a trilogy. You are welcome to join physically at campus where you can bring your lunch and help yourself to coffee and tea, or to follow the live stream on this page. Below follows a few words about what you will hear more about on the presentation, from the author herself:

Katja’s World Game: The Game Begins belongs to a new genre: adapted climate change. Filled with hope, my novel offers a sustainable solution to the present climate crisis. Based on traditional values that are implemented with the aid of modern technology and AI, the solution is both traditional and radical. Katja’s World Game: The Game Begins also incorporates fantasy to stimulate the imagination and explore the possibilities of the extra-spatial fourth dimension (see katjasworldgame.com for additional information).

Katja’s World Game: The Game Begins is designed primarily for the New Adult age range, i.e. eighteen- to thirty-five-year olds but can be read by both younger and older readers. It can be used in the secondary- / high-school and university classroom as a basis for discussion about the future, the impact of climate change on our lives, and the importance of working together to save the Earth.

During my presentation, I will provide some suggestions for how to use fiction in the classroom.

A WARM WELCOME!
