Tasks
I am the Vice Dean of Education at the Faculty of Health, Welfare, and Organization with the following responsibilities:
- Contributing to ensuring that the orientation and content of the education align with the university college's strategy, as well as with the needs of society and students
- Leading the faculty's strategic work with the study portfolio and advising the dean on matters relevant to the study offerings and portfolio
- Encouraging academic environments to develop, test, and evaluate new teaching methods and forms of learning, also across faculty and departmental boundaries.
- Strengthening educational collaboration within the faculty, across faculties, and in partnership with external actors
- Leading the faculty's work with internal and external accreditation and re-accreditation of the faculty's study programs
- Leading the organized quality work at the faculty, in accordance with the university college's quality system, and collaborating with the Pro-Rector of Education, other vice deans of education, and the education department on the development of teaching quality and the learning environment at Østfold University College
- Encouraging increased internationalization of the education programs and being responsible for the faculty's strategic work in this area
- Developing and coordinating the faculty's and university college's focus on lifelonglearning

Background
I am an associated professor in Nursing Science and I have been teaching nursing students for twenty years. My research area is quality in education and health care quality.
