Georgios Marentakis is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Østfold University College. He teaches courses related human computer interaction, sound and music computing, and software development. He researches emerging applications of sound in human computer interaction, auditory augmented reality, and sonic interaction design. He is part of the human computer interaction, as well as acoustics, psychoacoustics, and audio signal processing research communities and publishes in related conferences and journals. He is part of the Digital Society Initiative.

Background
Georgios Marentakis has a background in HCI and Sound and Music Computing in particular sonic interaction design, sound synthesis and spatialization, and auditory perception and cognition. He holds an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering, an MSc in Acoustics and Signal Processing, a PhD in Human Computer Interaction, and has worked in research-intensive environments in North America and Europe.
