PhD-programme
Background
Before I started as a PhD Research Fellow, I was a university lecturer at OsloMet, where I taught educational use of technology and digital skills in teacher education. Earlier, I have a lot of experience from primary school as a teacher and ICT coordinator.
Doctoral research project
Title: "Designing Technology for Simulation-based learning in Teacher Education"
My PhD project is part of the KITES project (Knowledge Integration through Technology-Enhanced Simulation), a research project led by Østfold University of Applied Sciences and funded by the Research Council of Norway (2026–2030). KITES aim to develop and explore technology-enhanced, scenario-based simulations that help student teachers integrate theoretical and practical knowledge as a foundation for informed decision-making and justification of professional actions.
In my doctoral project, I explore scenario development and technologies like VR and AI in simulations.
Supervisors: Professor Hilde Wågsås Afdal, Professor Rolf Steier and Associate Professor Maiken Risan
