Take a Look... Read a Book!

A book is the starting point in all our examples of lesson plans, to be read individually or in class, but from there the suggested activities comprise a wide variety of practical ideas for the use of literature, highlighting the stages of before, during and after the reading of a book. Ideas for motivating pupils into the lesson, reading for gist, scanning, reading for detailed comprehension, working with vocabulary and being involved in computer activities are just a few examples of what can be found in the different lesson plans. Notice that even though you will find most ideas for the reading skill in these lesson plans, the different articles also contain good ideas for practising other skills.
