The testimonies of people who are sick have become popular in recent years, especially in blogs and in samples of electronic literature.

Although few of these texts have been written by professional authors, they are considered part of a literary genre: the illness narrative, which has also been called 'pathography'.

This presentation reviews the general characteristics of this hybrid genre, proposes a typology for different pathographies written in the first person, and reflects over the graphic narrative Duermo mucho [I sleep a lot], by Maria Manonelles Ribes, a nonfiction story published in 2018. The testimony describes Manonelles Ribes’ stay in a psych ward of a hospital in Spain, and her struggle with a personality disorder.
