During this fall, five individual students from MA in Performance shares part of phase one of their research in a series of open events. NTA’s study plan for MA in Performance research project is organized as a series of public events happening between fall and spring of the second year of the course, organized in two phases, rather than a single final MA production.

STEFAN ANDERSSON invites you to River:

A river is in constant movement and transformation, the water is changing, always new and never new at the same time.

River is a performance that I created with the river Kävlingeån in the south of Sweden as a connecting point between parts of my personal history close to it, and physical and poetic explorations with the river itself. It is the meeting between my first experiences of masculinity through my dad, and bigger structures of patriarchy.

How do I and the river mirror each other into transforming the effects of patriarchy?

With this work I want to dip in and deepen processes of the total need of transforming yourself and the integration of a painful heritage: Everything happening in the body, in a system where one needs to flow, filtrate, evaporate and pour down.

Warmly welcome to this part of my research!
