Norwegian Theatre Academy is a member of NORTEAS - network of Nordic and Baltic Performing Arts institutions in Higher Education. As such, NTA is participating to different programmes aiming at encouraging students, staff and teachers to work together in order to seek for innovative approaches and programmes in the field of performing arts.

On Friday 25th January 2019, " Orfeus stiger ner" opened in Dramatens Elverket in Stockholm, where our 3rd year scenography student Miriam Myrthel Pedersen has been an incredibly fabulous director's and scenographer's assistant, and Serge von Arx (artistic director for scenography) was in charge of the scenography.
Serge von Arx has recently published an article in Theatre and Performance Design, an international peer-reviewed journal of scenography. Publishing innovative artistic practice alongside theoretical research, the journal critically evaluates the effect of scenography on the aesthetics and politics of performance and facilitates dialogue amongst practitioners, scholars, and audience.
