Request for Validation of Prior Learning to Norwegian Theatre Academy/Østfold University College
If you intend to apply for admission to the Master in Performance or/and Master in Scenography, and do not have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education of at least 180 ECTS credits, you have to deliver documentation of prior learning.
- Please note that the Request of Validation of Prior Learning is not the same as the application to the admission to the master programs.
Prior learning comprises all the competence a person has acquired through paid or unpaid work, in-service training, continuing education, community-based activities in addition to the competence documented through basic education and training. To be able to qualify for the Request for Validation of Prior Learning you need to:
- Lack a Bachelor's degree or have an unrecognized Bachelor's degree in Norway.
- Show proof of at least seven years of professional practice.

The deadline to request a validation to be used in the admission process for MA in Performance and MA in Scenography (2024-2026) is October 1, 2023.
